Considering all that the Faces of Hope Foundation does towards the cause of helping terminally ill patients, we’ve been happy to help with some of their photographic requirements, including doing the studio photography for this billboard.
It features their ambassador, Conor Mccreedy, a talented South African artist who has been making waves in New York with his amazing work. I shared more about this in a blog post a little while ago, titled South African in New York – with talent to burn. Conor is wearing a beautiful, heart-shaped pendant, crafted by Schwartz jewellers, which can also be worn as a ring, as featured in the separate image. This is available for purchase through Faces of Hope, in aid of raising funds for the Foundation.
It’s been wonderful to see the Faces of Hope message shared on billboards at key sites in Johannesburg. Here’s another photograph taken at the premium Hyde Park location, also featuring the Gautrain bus, which has become a progressively more familiar Jo’burg sight.
Kerrin Black, founder of the Foundation, has succeeded in sourcing some wonderful sponsorship from around the world, including a tennis shoe autographed by Maria Sharapova, for the purpose of auctioning this to raise funds. For a sneak peek at some product photography of this shoe, specially “engineered for Maria”, along with some framed memorabilia, take a look at our post Studio Tribute to Tennis Stars.
